Michelle
Krys lives with her husband and son in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. She works
part-time as a NICU nurse and spends her free time writing books for teens.
Michelle is probably not a witch, though she did belong to a witchcraft club in
the fifth grade and "levitated" people in her bedroom, so that may be
up for debate. Hexed is her first novel. Visit her at michellekrys.com or

Dream Debutante Dress -
"I never get the chance to get dressed up,
so I’m so excited to be part of the 2014 Debutante Ball! My dream debutante
dress is the red Elie Saab gown that Taylor Swift wore to the 2012 Billboard
awards. It’s sexy, fun, modern, and it’s long enough that I can probably get
away with wearing flip-flops underneath it. WIN."

Random Facts About Me:
1. I have an identical twin sister. I’m
thinking this will be especially handy during book promotion when I can send
Brandy out to do all my public speaking events. (I'm so mind blown right now... THATS SO AWESOME)
2. I’ve lived on my own since I was 16. I
don’t advise it if you like food and clothing and shelter and stuff.
3. I once went to a house party in
Hollywood with Justin Bobby from The Hills.
4. I’m a huge celebrity gossip junkie and
have more knowledge on Leanne Rimes’ cheating scandal than anyone should ever
feel proud of. (My sisters are just as bad. One memorable Thanksgiving dinner
was spent debating Usher’s custody war with ex-wife Tameka.)
5. The first time I drove a car was when I
drove my boyfriend’s mom’s Toyota around the parking lot of the DMV before
taking my driver’s test. PASSED IT.
6. Family and friends used to call me
Elaine because whenever I get excited about something I shove someone in the
chest and yell, “GET OUT!”(Also maybe I’m not so good at dancing . . .)
7. My previous jobs include: Telemarketer, McDonald’s
burger flipper, Seattle Coffeehouse barista, and Econolodge front desk clerk.
Because of my job at the Econolodge, I’m especially good at breaking up
parties, expertly folding towels, dodging drunken advances, and keeping a
straight face when middle-aged men stutter out their excuses as to why they
need a hotel room at 3 a.m. in the same town as is listed on their driver’s
license.
8. The first boy I ever kissed was a random
guy I chose for practice so I wouldn’t be terrible at it when I kissed my
crush. (That’s me, full of great ideas!)
9. I avoid opening bills for as long as
possible, until I have piles of unopened envelopes as tall a toddler and my
sister’s like, “Um, aren’t you going to pay those?” I will. Just not now (read
earlier: great ideas).
10. My full name is Michelle Kristie Krys. So
. . .

DeleteLoving number 8...no problem with getting it right when it counts:)
ReplyDeleteI like your attitude ;)
DeleteLol!!! I love that you kissed a random :D
ReplyDeleteGlad to amuse you ;)
DeleteI can relate to #5. I spend way too much time on ONTD and know way too much about celebrity gossip and scandals.
ReplyDelete*fist bump of solidarity*
DeleteFACT #1! AHHH that's awesome. I have a twin sister too(though not identical). I can tell we're already gonna be friends ^.^
ReplyDeleteOh cool!
DeleteI love a shameless gossip-lover - and a good cheating scandal! Congrats on your debut!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Nicki! :)
DeleteGreat interview!! Congrats on Hexed!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amanda! :)
DeleteLOL this list is amazing!
ReplyDelete#3 is so cooool! Somewhat related: I grew up in Orange County and my maiden name is Cohen, so when I studied abroad in college I had someone seriously ask me if Seth Cohen from The OC was my cousin. Ummmm no... he's fictional. Haha!
#4 yes, total agreement here. I know way too many facts that no one needs to know and have subscribed to Entertainment Weekly since I was 12. Love my gossip. Have you ever visited dlisted.com? Some seriously funny gossip on there!
#6 Elaine!! This made my day! I Elaine-danced at my wedding and it was stupendous. I love that you're a real life Elaine haha.
Gosh you sound super fun! That must mean HEXED will be awesome- can't wait!!
I like you. A lot. (For reasons that have nothing to do with your last comment ;) )
DeleteI use to be big on celebrity gossip but i started comparing magazines and such and i just stopped reading them because they didnt have much correct info..like for example jennifer aniston--following all i heard and seen in magazines she would have had at least 4 kids and a set of twins so now im not sure whats true and what isnt.I still look at magazines but havent bought any in a long time.
ReplyDeleteYou're so right--I pretty much only trust TMZ for news. I do love Dlisted.com though--so funny!
DeleteI am a celebrity gossip minor junkie. I never thought how awesome it would be to have a twin sister until you said you could send her to do the public speaking. That would be wonderful. I can't do it myself. Shaky, knocking knees, sweaty palms, passing out.... that is me.
ReplyDeleteOh, Oh, Oh! The dress! The dress is amazing, but like so many others I would choose that exact same dress but in black.
DeleteThat's totally me re: public speaking. I'm terrible! (And isn't that dress gorgeous?! It would definitely be great in black too).
DeleteI wish I had a twin sister the there would be another brunette in my family to tag team against all my other blonde siblings (I have 6!)
