Spark Blog Tour: Q and A with Brigid Kemmerer!

Welcome to the last stop of the Down Under Spark Blog Tour! Spark is the eagerly anticipated sequel to Storm by Brigid Kemmerer which if you know me, you know I LOVED. In fact Brigid and her debut took Australia by storm ( haha PUNZ)! I am so honoured to be included in the blog tour for Spark, this is definitely a Q and A you don't want to miss!

Quickies -

Skittles or M&Ms? M&Ms!

Black or white? I ... don't know. My favorite color is green. Is that OK?

Coffee or Tea? COFFEE. Coffee coffee coffee. I drink about 6 cups a day. No, I am not kidding.

Print copies or e-books? E-books!

Dog-ear or Bookmark? Dog ear. Makes my husband crazy. But if it's hardcover, I slip the flap in.

Cats or Dogs? Dogs

Reading or Writing? Both!!

Vampires or werewolves? Vampires. Fur? Ew.

Favourite Harry Potter Novel? I haven't read any of them. (*GASP* HOW HAVE YOU NOT BEEN STONED?)

Have you watched Vampire Diaries? EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. DON'T YOU KNOW ME AT ALL? ( I do know that but for the sake of everyone else... this makes you so much cooler :P)

Book you most want to see turned into a Movie? Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. But only if they don't F it up.

Favourite day of the week? Thursday

Your perfect breakfast consists of - Coffee.

Complete this sentence: Gabriel Merrick never called you back because... he's a fictional character. :-P (  NO, Gabriel is REALZ. *in denial*

and...

What do you think of Matt Bomer? Little on the skinny side. ( I think he is purrrrrfect. *sigh*)

Long Questions -

1) Describe Spark in three words.

 Hot sexy Gabriel ( AMEN)

2) How did you come up with the character Layne (ie WHY HER AND NOT ME)?

I thought Gabriel might find your beauty too intimidating. No, but seriously, I knew Gabriel was going to need someone with a strong personality and a level head to keep up with him. He also needed someone who wouldn't put up with his crap. It took a while to find Layne's voice (I wrote most of Gabriel's scenes, then went back and added Layne's in), but when I finally found it, I knew it was right.

3) What made you want to write a novel for Gabriel instead of Nick?

I still want to write a novel for Nick. I'm working on a proposal for one right now.

4) Character you feel you can relate best to? Why?

Michael, by far. He wants to do the right thing for his family, and he works too much and forgets to take care of himself.

5) Is there a story behind the names of characters?

Sorta. I named the characters when I was in high school, and I went to an all girls Catholic school. I used all my favorite names. I always used to swear I'd marry a man named Michael one day (and I did!!).

6) Are you planning to write any other books outside the series?

Yes! I'm working on a super-sekrit project right now.

7) Who would play the characters in a movie adaption?

I did a fantasy cast during the blog tour that you were (ahem!) a part of. :-P ( YOU DID TOO! OMG I TOTALLY FORGET *smacks head*)

Here's the link: Dream Cast ( CLICK ME!)

8) What can we expect in Spirit?

Lots of action and sexytimes. Really. Lots.

And that's a wrap! As you can see, we have MUCH to look forward to. I *really* hope we get Nick's book because he is my 2ND favourite character after Gabriel and since HE is taken... well... Anyway, my review of Spark will be up on the blog very soon ( think this week! hopefully tomorrow!). This is definitely a series, you WANT to read!

Badass Bookie xx
