Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday ( October 1st)

Hey Guys! I so so so tired right now. Went to a themepark with my friends today, school holidays = HUGE line up!!! My feet are killing, killing me and than Dad got pizza and I feel so fat now >_< Oh well, school starting on Monday (eep!) so I going to blog blog blog this weekend! Anyway, blogger hop is hosted weekly by Jen @ Crazy for Books and Parajunkee @ Parajunkee's View. Please leave comment and a link if you're hopping by so I can return the favour. This week I'm trying to reach 400 (!!!!) followers SO for every follower I get this week they shall get one in return!

I promote and spread the word through blog directories, twitter and goodreads. Blogger Hop is another great way to promote but make sure you also hop to other people's blogs or else that's not the right spirit. I against people doing self- promotion through comments on other people's blogs, I think that's just wrong. You're there to visit not to do self -marketing! Unless it's in a guest post etc.

Do you judge a book by its cover?
The answer is is yes! Although everyone says don'tt judge a book by it's cover, I personally feel that a good book will have a decent cover because obviously the publisher has high hopes for it and have decided to put the effort into creating a good cover! ( I know right? I'm so judgemental :P) However, usually this works so you know go with the flow!

Do you use a rating system for your reviews and if so, what is it and why?
My Answer-  Yes, I do use a rating system, I dont use any icons just numbers and I rate a book by it's cover, characters, plot, start, ending, author's writing style ( comfortable or not to read) and enjoyment level. I have to say my ratings system is very harsh and I have only given one 5/5 in all my reviews!

What is the first book that you remember reading?
The Very Hungry Catapilliar!

Of course, there is always a twist which is a question. The question this week is How Many Blogs Do I Follow? Well, my answer is that I follow quite a few blogs actually, however I do have a criteria to decide whether I follow or not. Reviews, boookish posts, genre, giveaways ( although not necessary), blog design and how informative they are about upcoming books are all the things I take into consideration! So I have around 40 ish blogs that I follow?

How many books do you have on your 'to be read shelf’?
Well, let just say I have more books on my bookshelf that I haven't read then I have read! One the top of my head I am guessing about 30 books? maybe a bit more but it's definitely enough for me and I'm STILL buying books!

My answer to this week's questions is- my favourite authors so far this year would be Richelle Mead ( Spirit Bound), Ally Carter (Hiest Society), Aprilynne Pike (Spells) and Simone Elklese (Perfect Chemistry) Their writing style is very easy to read and somehow I can always feel connected to the characters.
